Giant Top Motion Cone

Springy flexible cone-shaped structures are becoming more and more popular in public playgrounds and parks because they provide safe, clean fun in a relatively small space. The same concept can be applied to the Giant Top which can be used inside or outdoors – simple movement by the user makes the Giant Top start moving and then kinetic energy ensures it continues until it runs out of steam. Providing vestibular input for children with a range of sensory processing disorders, the Giant Top helps raise awareness of balance, as well as the amount of movement needed in order for the Top to start moving. Too little and it won’t budge, too much and it may topple over (although this is very rare and the proximity to the ground means there is no danger to the child!). The Giant Top can be used to provide a gentle rocking motion which can help calm children and aid relaxation and sleep, or it can be speeded up for a more high-octane experience – it’s entirely up to the child or supervising adult.
