Understanding cause and effect is a key cognitive skill. The size of this light fitting means it creates quite an impression in any sensory room or multi-sensory environment – engaging children to interact and discover what colours they can create by making different sounds. As users develop an understanding of the type of sound that will result in certain colours, they are able to experiment with different ways of creating noises to achieve a desired result. This helps children to process and order information, aiding cognitive development. The variety of changing colours also helps to teach children to identify different colours, providing visual stimulation. Mounted in our podium the users can get close to the gently swirling colours.
