Pixels Panel

The panel’s black screen is transformed when the user chooses one of three modes and activates the colour buttons.

The centre white button dictates which mode is selected.

Mode 1. Scroll. A small cluster of white dots traverses the screen from left to right, then moves down a row and repeats its progress, like reading a book, leaving a trace. When a button is pressed the trace takes the chosen colour and, depending on how long the button is pressed, so the “footstep” will increase in size. In this way the screen becomes a maze of different sized and different coloured shapes. To start from a blank page simply fill the screen with the black button.

Mode 2. Tunnels. A multi coloured tunnel slowly expands, until a coloured button is pressed, whereupon the centre of the tunnel changes to the chosen button’ colour and slowly expands. Holding down the button increases the size of the circle As with the previous mode, inaction will cause the tunnel to reverse by collapsing inwards at which point it will loop in a satisfying cycle.

Mode 3. Fireworks. The sprite shoots up and explodes in a burst of colour, which slowly fades. The colours of the burst are chosen by use of the coloured buttons. This firework show will start again if you leave it, keeping the same order of colour but the fireworks will take different paths.
