Side-Glow tails are highly tactile, and fascinating. They have always been a key component of the sensory room.

Tails are not hot & do not carry any electricity, so can be safely mouthed (though this is usually not encouraged). The point is that the users can and do get intimately close to the tails, and this is their value. They can be worn like the most amazing jewelry, making the user feel very special. Moreover we also find that they offer a tremendous opportunity for closeness with other people, since the wearer of the tails will allow others into their space to "look at the tails".

You have quite a bit of choice when buying Fibre Optic Tails:

UV Tails are very excitingly coloured, while White Tails more clearly show the more gentle colour of the light source.

Tails are quite expensive and more is better, but they do get tangled. After UV or not UV, Tangling is probably the main factor in your decision.

If you have a large number of people who will use the tails they are likely to get and stay tangled.

The 400 tail option is very spectacular, but rarely sensible.

The 2m x 200 tail is a popular option, while the 100 is a little easier to un-tangle.

If you are really worried about tangling then go for the Jumbo Tails, which have just 18 or 12 fatter tails, the knotted ones add an interesting tactile element.

However untangling things is pleasurable, and nothing could be more lovely to untangle, so it's quite possible that we are worrying unnecessarily.
