Description
Do you want to get the most out of your Sensory Room? Do you need a refresher training session?

You invested a great deal of time and money to install your sensory room. Don't let it become a playground without purpose. We have partnered with a world-renown Multi-Sensory Environment expert, Dr. Anthony McCrovitz to bring you tailored trainings to help your staff learn to utilize your sensory room or space to its fullest potential. These trainings empower your staff to use the room effectively for the benefit of your students or clients and your school or facility. It's a Win-Win for everyone when the sensory room is used as an effective tool for sensory regulation, learning and therapy.

Our live online training with Dr. Anthony McCrovitz will introduce you and your staff to the benefits of Sensory Rooms in your practice, school or home. Sessions are designed to discuss and demonstrate effective use of equipment and mentor staff in developing meaningful moments and engagement.

No limit to the number of participants so everyone gains the knowledge of the purpose and uses of a Sensory Room.

90-MINUTE TRAINING PACKAGES
  1. CREATING MEANINGFUL MOMENTS (9TRCM): An unconditional invitation within this space supports the relationship in moving toward the discovering of possibilities for one's social-emotional development. We will look at how to facilitate one's social-emotional experience and engagement by creating meaningful moments, using our hands, eyes, words and presence (our tools).
  2. ASSESSING INDIVIDUALS WITH THE MSE ROOM (9TRAI): Learn how to create meaningful assessments: how to cultivate MSE experiences, using materials and equipment from the simplest ideas to more complex arrangements, depending on resources. Learn practical ideas for interacting and adding MSE enrichment for one's daily routine.
  3. THE SENSES (9TRTS): Everything we experience is picked up through our senses and processed by our brain. This includes balance (vestibular), body awareness (proprioception), the sensorimotor development (the body's ability to integrate the senses and the muscle system). We talk about the different senses and the impact these senses have on our growth, well-being, and overall development.
  4. TEACHING SELF-REGULATION IN THE CLASSROOM (9TRSR): The multi-sensory room can teach one to self-regulate, connecting with one's ability to befriend their feelings and to communicate with others. Helping one to control and modify their behavior goes beyond just verbal cues, teaching replacement behavior, and positive or negative consequences.
  5. SENSORY PROCESSING AND AUTISM (9TRSA): Explore the sensory channels and discuss meaningful moments that can be created within a multi-sensory environment for increasing the social-emotional development of children with autism. Learn how a multi-sensory environment (MSE) support facilitation of the relaxation response in people with autism, helping to alleviate habits of anxiety or stress.
