Description

This weighted compression vest for kids with sensory issues, autism and ADHD combines the sensory input tool with a wearable by applying pressure to sensitive areas of the body. Simply place the vest over your child's clothing and watch your child return to feeling grounded and in control.

A perfect addition to the classroom, pack the weighted compression vest with your child's school supplies for on-the-go sensory integration therapy. It works well on travel, too! Improve both their and your car rides with a vest providing deep pressure sensory input.

The compression weighted vest for kids is made out of soft neoprene and is built to last. Unlike other brands, this vest has built-in ventilation using mesh to make sure your child stays cool while receiving the sensory integration therapy benefits.

Machine & spot clean washable.

HOW TO USE YOUR WEIGHTED COMPRESSION VEST:
  • Insert the 1/4 lb. and 1/2 lb. weights into the pockets of the vest. Add a minimum amount of weight to start to achieve the desired amount of weight your child needs to feel most comfortable. Gradually increase as needed...Less is more!
  • Start with less weight and slowly increase as needed. Research shows that 4-5% of the child's body weight is the best amount for a child with sensory differences. For example, a child weighing 50 lbs., should use a weighted vest that's 2-2.5 lbs.
  • Use caution when adding weight if your child has lower muscle tone. Start with just the compression vest without any weights.
  • Here's a guide to follow when adding weight to your Weighted Compression Vest
Small: No more than 3 lbs.
Large: No more than 5 lbs.
