The equipment used to achieve an MSE can be designed to stimulate a specific sense or multiple senses at once. This can include lights, coloured objects and projectors - to visually stimulate and entertain. They can also be interactive to introduce tactile stimulation and improve motor skills. Sound sensitive items can be incorporated to provide auditory stimulation and allow individuals to experiment with creating sound. Soft play objects and interactive walls also, to not only create a safe and comfortable seating area but to provide tactile stimulation and aid with body awareness using inbuilt speakers.
