On an average day, people with severe cognitive impairment are bombarded with anxiety-producing stimuli that they lack the cognitive capacity to process.  The result is a (person) who is frightened, isolated, unable to express themselves, and often without the support they need to effectively cope (Auer & Blumberg, 2006). A mobile sensory cart enables predictable sensory experiences for the people you care for. Mobile sensory stations can be used as part of Child Life and Recreation Therapists strategies to reduce the pain and distress associated with care and life changes.

A mobile Sensory Care Cart can be moved easily from room to room on its sturdy wheels and requires only one plug to transform the room with the "Big 3" Multi-Sensory items: Bubble Column, Projector, and Fiber Optics.

The Vecta Cart is made of strong marine MDF material with a hospital-grade power strip which all the equipment plugs into and a 12' cord for use in a standard outlet.  Three nonbreakable acrylic mirrors surround the 6' Interactive Bubble Column for the illusion of multiple columns.  The two side wing mirrors are hinged and can be adjusted for one's particular preferences.  These mirrors can be closed and locked for easy transport and storage.  The cart also includes a locked storage cabinet in the rear and four smooth caster wheels, to easily move the Vecta.  These wheels also have locks to securely set in place when in use.

With the TFH Interactive Bubble Tube you are in control!  The Bubble Tube has a continuous flow of calming bubbles and smooth transitions between vibrant colors.  The TFH Bubble Tube base is the only one on the market that controls the speed of the bubbles rising in the Bubble Tube.  This allows the facilitator to vary the sensory sessions for calming or arousal depending on the individual they are working with.   The Interactive Bubble Tube includes a Ping Pong Insert with Beads and Balls.  This provides a captivating visual effect as the beads and balls shoot up the inner tube and gently tumble down the Bubble Tube.  This is ideal for color recognition, eye tracking and alerting.

The plastic Fiber Optic Tails cycle through a beautiful array of colors and a sparkle effect creating a visual focal point.  Our LED Sparkle Light Source is attached securely inside the rear cabinet.  The tactile aspect of Fiber Optic Tails evokes calming and is perfect for fine motor development.  These tails also have some weight which provide just the right amount of pressure for soothing.

Our Somacoustic Sound Controller allows for the attachment of up to 2 Somacoustic products and up to 2 Speaker Boxes. Easy-to-use control knobs allow for the  TFH somacoustic Resonance Products to be felt effectively and conveniently. It is easy to connect to your external music source to play music via Bluetooth, a CD Player, or a Memory Stick. Vibroacoustic therapy is a type of sound therapy that involves passing pure low-frequency sound wave vibrations into the body via a device with embedded speakers. It is not about filling the room with sounds or music. It’s thought that brain waves at a frequency of 40 Hz are the carriers of information that control movement; the transducers of this system are fine-tuned to produce vibrations between 20 and 100 Hz, which are almost too low to hear audibly, but whose vibrations can add stimulation to brainwaves/body. Ships fully assembled.  Set up instructions are included.  Usually takes approximately 15-20 minutes to populate the cart and you are ready to go.  Use distilled water only in Bubble Column (approx 5.5 gallons).
