Takes 3 AAA batteries, not included. Quite attractive, but if child touches blade while in operation, the small central part flies off. Would like a sturdier model, with equally soft blades for safety.

The battery instructions on the website are wrong- oddly this toy takes two different sized batteries- 2 AAAA and 1 AAA in the middle! this caused us some inconvenience as there were no instructions anywhere to indicate this and we had to go out and buy two different sets of batteries. Please make this clearer for future buyers!!
