An innovative oral motor device designed to provide a resilient, non-food, chewable surface for practicing biting and chewing skills.
TFH offers Chew Tubes with four fun and effective tools for practicing biting and chewing skills. Biting on Chew Tubes builds tone and strength in the masseter muscle and helps develop the up/down pattern of jaw movement needed for speech, feeding, and overall oral motor skills.
Blue Chew Tubes are the firmest and most useful for adolescents and adults with adult-sized jaws, providing oral motor, chewing, and biting support.
The Blue Chew Tube is the largest and firmest of the Chew Tubes. It is intended for adolescents and Adults with developmental disabilities, autism, or sensory integration disorder.
Red Chew Tubes are suitable for toddlers or those with slightly larger jaws. They are typically used by toddlers, older children, and adults to provide a smooth surface on which to practice biting and chewing skills.
The Yellow Chew Tube is used with a smaller jaw, typically infants, children up to 2 years old, or individuals who are unable to open their jaw very wide.
The Green Knob Tube offers increased Sensory input from raised bumps along the biteable stem. It provides a biting surface that is slightly firmer than the Red Chew Tube and a softer bite than the Blue Chew Tube. Exciting little 'knobbies' on this Green Chew Tube stem provide even greater oral and tactile stimulation!
Chew Tubes are non-toxic, latex-free, non-flavored, and unscented. They are intended for individual use with adult supervision.
Caution: This product is not a toy. Although these chew tools are made of sturdy, medical-grade materials, they are not indestructible. Some individuals (particularly those with heavy oral needs and aggressive biting/chewing) may be able to damage the tools. Please supervise at all times and replace if necessary when the item shows signs of wear and tear.
