Chew Toys
Chewing is sometimes calming, a distraction to the distractions perhaps. Many children with special needs find it hard to live with their sensory input. Some have over or under sensitive senses, while many more struggle to appropriately balance the sensory information they receive. One coping strategy is to drown-out sensory input by activity, and chewing performs this role beautifully.
